When the New Testament was written by the Universal (Catholic) Church
there were many Gospels excluded for various reasons. Some of the
excluded Gospels have been referred to as Gnostic Gospels.
The term "Gnostic" has been misused and misunderstood for years.
It refers to having direct knowledge or experience of the divine, and the Gnostic Gospels were an attempt
to convey that knowledge, good news, to the readers.

Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in a single house,
they will say to the mountain, 'Move from here!' and it will move."

His disciples said to him, "When will the kingdom come?"

"It will not come by watching for it. It will not be said, 'Look, here!' or 'Look, there!' Rather, the Father's kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and people don't see it."

You will see similarities to some of the sayings in the canonical gospels, but it is thought by some
that this pre-dates them. Others have said that it gives a view of how early "Christians"
(the Christian Community 0-300ce)
viewed their connection with Jesus and the divine.
